An unusual and rare early WAS Benson electro-plated adjustable floor lamp stand. Probably an original early electric lamp that has now been fully re-wired and fitted with conforming bulb holders without any damage or alterations to construction integrity. The lamp was originally found with seven paint layers of differing colours and age that have been removed using only non-aggressive remover and elbow grease.
The plating shows wear and expert opinion differs
as to re-plating or not.
