Fine flame mahogany veneered with boxwood and ebony stringing design and inlays over cross-banded drawer and false drawers (later Regency fleur de lils handles). Dentil ornamentation to stepped cornice. Interior with three shaped shelves and showing original lining paper. Fully operational lock & key.

Sheraton Revival
salon armchair
A beautiful classical salon armchair in the Sheraton Revival style. Rosewood on walnut with glorius inlaid musical instruments and swag decoration including boxwood , sandalwood, tulip wood and others to rear splat. Stringing to rear frame and arms with more swag and stringing to front legs.
Possibly by Walter Carter of Manchester as there are fragments f a label to the underside. Carters was taken over by Harrods of London in 1928.
